Located in the scenic Western Cape, surrounded by the splendor of the mountains, we bid you a warm welcome to our bed and breakfast accommodation, Bakelow, which is situated at the town of Tokai near Cape Town with a brilliant view of the mountains and mostly sunny skies!

Tokai is centrally located, in one direction is Cape Town with all that it offers (V&A waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island, Table Mountain just a few of the attractions). In the opposite direction within Table Mountain National Park is Cape Point.   

Table Mountain National Park is always close by. Silvermine is a 5 minute drive, for those special back to nature walks or trail running, alternative routes/distances are marked. Elephant eye cave can be seen from Bakelow bed and breakfast accommodation, 2 minutes drive and then set out on foot, mountain biking can also be seen here. The Cape Peninsula is the perfect place to go mountain-bike riding, cycling or just be sensible and take a picnic to any of the picnic sites in the Park (Silvermine is among the most spectacular lunch venues in the Park). Newlands Forest is also close by for shaded walks or trail running in the most beautiful scenery.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Golf Courses, Wine Estates and yes fine shops can also be found. Maybe Newlands rugby and cricket stadiums is the place for you to enjoy the games. All are within a 25 minute drive.

Take a scenic drive around the Cape Peninsula and you will come across Chapmans Peak 'WOW' what views.

There are also many beaches to choose from and are within 15 - 20 minute drive. Watch the sun set, sitting on the beach at Camps Bay, many restaurants are located on the opposite side of the road where you can choose to sit inside or outside.

Maybe by now you are ready to choose from the restaurants located around the Cape Peninsula too many to mention, but be assured, if you choose to eat out, you will enjoy.
